About Nanofil P60 Posterior Restorative Dental Filling Resin

Achieve high-strength, wear-resistant posterior restorations with AT&M Nanofil P60 Posterior Restorative Dental Filling Resin. Formulated as a visible-light-activated, radiopaque composite, Nanofil P60 is engineered specifically to withstand heavy occlusal forces in stress-bearing posterior teeth. Combining Bis-GMA and TEGDMA resins reinforced with barium glass fillers, it delivers low volumetric shrinkage, superb sculptability, and outstanding marginal adaptation. Available in a 4.5g syringe format in essential posterior shades A1, A2, and A3, it is ideal for Class I, Class II, and direct/indirect posterior restorative procedures.

Key Features & Highlights

High Occlusal Strength: Formulated to sustain high masticatory stress and forces in stress-bearing posterior regions.

Packable & Non-Sticky Consistency: Excellent handling properties that allow clinicians to pack, sculpt, and shape occlusal anatomy without material slumping or stickiness.

Radiopaque & Light-Cured: Highly visible under X-ray examination for easy marginal verification and fast light-curing via standard halogen or LED curing units.

Advanced Resin Matrix: Blended with Bis-GMA and TEGDMA resins reinforced with barium glass filler for long-term wear resistance.

Excellent Polishability & Aesthetics: Matches surrounding tooth structures and finishes to a high sheen for seamless natural-looking restorations.

Indications for Use

Direct Posterior Restorations: Direct fillings for Class I and Class II load-bearing cavities.

Core Buildups: Rebuilding lost tooth structure prior to crown placement.

Indirect Restorations: Fabrication of indirect posterior inlays, onlays, and crowns.

Anterior Applications: Suitable for conventional cavity preparations across Class III, IV, and V when high strength is needed.

Clinical Application Steps

Tooth Preparation & Cleaning: Clean the tooth surface with pumice and water to remove surface stains. Select shade using VITAPAN criteria prior to tooth isolation.

Isolation & Cavity Preparation: Isolate the tooth using a rubber dam (preferred) or cotton rolls with an evacuator. Prepare the posterior cavity with rounded line and point angles.

Pulp Protection: For deep cavities, protect the dentin near the pulp with a layer of calcium hydroxide base or glass ionomer prior to etching.

Matrix Placement: Use dead-soft metal, Mylar, or forming matrix bands with wedges to re-establish proximal contact and contour.

Adhesive System: Apply dental adhesive following the manufacturer's specific instructions.

Dispensing & Placement: Turn the syringe handle slowly clockwise to dispense composite onto a mix pad. Pack into the cavity incrementally ($3.0\text{ mm}$ max layer thickness for A1, A2, A3).

Light Curing: Expose each increment to a curing light (≥ 400 mW/cm²) for 40 seconds.

Finishing & Polishing: Adjust occlusal contacts and polish using a finishing diamond/stone and polishing system.

Safety Precautions & Contraindications

Contraindications: Do not use on patients with known hypersensitivity to acrylic monomers.

Interactions: Phenolics and eugenol-containing products (e.g., ZOE cements) inhibit polymerization and must not be used in proximity.

Handling Warning: Avoid skin, eye, and soft tissue contact. Wear protective gloves and safety eyewear. Flush with water if contact occurs.
